Presentation : Italian red wine made in the municipality of Mezzane (Monti Garbi, 300 m above sea level).
DOC : Valpolicella Ripasso.
Soil : sandy, silty with an important white limestone skeleton.
Aging : 15-16 months in 500-liter barrels, of which 30% are new and 70% are from second passage.
Blend : Corvina and Corvinone 70% - Rondinella 20% - Croatina and Oseleta 10%.
Tasting notes :
Color : ruby red.
Bouquet : red fruits and cherries.
In the mouth : the wine is enveloping, fresh, sapid and quite tannic with a spicy aftertaste.
Ideal with pasta Bolognese or Italian style, roasted white meats or in sauce, medium matured hard cheeses.
