Presentation : Still white wine from Chavanay, at the northern end of the northern Côtes-du-Rhône.
AOC : Saint-Joseph.
Soil : Granitic and stony.
Aging : For 11 months in French (Seguin-Moreau, Ermitage) and American oak barrels (45% new, 30% one wine, 25% two wines).
Blend : Marsanne (98%), roussanne (2%).
Tasting : This wine has a bright straw yellow color and a fruity bouquet of apricot and pear, with a touch of sweet spices (vanilla, cinnamon); this beautiful fruity matter is found in the well structured mouth.
Pairings : aperitif, shellfish (lobster, crayfish), fried or grilled fish, fish in sauce, pâtés and terrines, foie gras, creamy starters, poultry, rabbit, soft cheeses, strong cheeses, asparagus.
