Presentation : Antoine and Stéphane Montez make this red wine in Chavanay, at the northern end of the northern Côtes-du-Rhône.
AOC : Côte-Rôtie.
Soil : Granite.
Maturing : 25 months in new oak barrels, bung on the side.
Blend : 90% syrah, 10% viognier.
Tasting : This refined wine with an intense robe has a great fruity matter and seduces with its noble tannins and its complex aromas of spices and flowers (violets).
Ideal with red meats, meats in sauce, simmered dishes, game (hare, venison), tender and spicy cheeses.
