De Mour, an international wine merchant and winegrower, owns five wine estates in Bordeaux. Our family finds and sells quality wines, some of which we make from grape to bottle.
Château Lacombe Cadiot is located in Ludon Médoc and was the fifth and final estate acquired by the De Schepper family in 2004. Ludon Médoc is famous for its internationally-renowned estates including Château La Lagune and Château d’Agassac.
"Located on clay-limestone soil on the Saint-Émilion plateau, Château Tour Baladoz produces wonderfully generous, aromatic, smooth, elegant wines resembling a 'grand premier cru' in every imaginable way."
- Bordeaux and its Wines, Cocks et Féret (1929)
The vineyard consists of a single block of vines grown on slopes on the Saint-Émilion clay-limestone plateau, nestled in a cirque 30 to 70 metres above sea level in Saint-Laurent des Combes, between Tertre Roteboeuf and Troplong Mondot.
Located in Arsac and Soussans, our vineyards offer a wide range of terroirs across the Margaux appellation. Deep sandy-gravel soils in Arsac produce ethereal wines, while clay-gravel soils in Grand Soussans give wines a fine tannic structure. We therefore adapt our planting methods in each plot to suit its intrinsic characteristics.
The estate is located on the banks of the Gironde, close to Macau harbour, where water from the Estuary constantly moves back and forth with the tides. The estate's vineyards have benefited from this environment for several centuries and produce wonderfully characterful wines.
